P.E (Physical Education)

At Hawkesley Church Primary Academy we believe that Physical Education (PE) is an essential part of a child’s education. It develops the children’s knowledge, skills and understanding of PE, as well as promoting long term health and well-being. We aim to provide a high-quality PE curriculum that provides opportunities for children to develop their confidence and competence in a variety of physical activities. The PE curriculum will also provide active participation in sport, competition and it will support excellence, allowing them to ‘Let your light shine’. Positive and inclusive participation in PE builds children’s skills of teamwork, determination, resilience and boosts self-esteem. Furthermore, PE promotes positive attitudes towards a healthy lifestyle, which will enable them to make informed choices about physical activity throughout their lives.
