Welcome to Hawkesley Church Primary Academy

 Dear Parents and Carers,

I would like to welcome you to Hawkesley Church Primary Academy.  The information detailed on our website is designed to introduce you to our academy and to answer your initial questions. We hope you will also find time to visit us and see our academy for yourself.

Hawkesley stands within the historic parish of Kings Norton and the academy nestles in a setting, which has to be seen to be appreciated.  The children are taught in a spacious environment with well-equipped playgrounds, a large playing field and close to magnificent countryside.  We have fourteen classrooms, a large hall/gym, a library, a newly refurbished computing suite and a purpose built nursery.

At Hawkesley Church Primary Academy, we have a dedicated, caring staff team committed to enabling every child to achieve his/her best.  The success in our academy is measured in a variety of ways, and we feel proud that our children are happy, hard-working, polite and achieving their potential measured against the standards of the academy and of the National Curriculum. In our academy we also expect and achieve high standards of behaviour and appearance and from a very young age our pupils are encouraged to become independent and self-disciplined.

We encourage the children to make a positive contribution to the academy and to our local community in order to encourage good citizenship and caring for the environment.  With this in mind, the children’s contributions through the ECO Committee, School Council and CREW have been very effective in creating positive change in our academy.

Parents are closely involved in the life of the academy and help in a variety of ways during the academy day they are keen to support the high standards of behaviour and dress, which the academy expects.

Choice of school is yours and whether you live locally, or are interested in choosing a church school for your child or for other reasons, we welcome your interest. Please contact the academy office if you need further information or if you would like to visit the academy.

I wish you well in the choice of school for your child.

Yours faithfully

Mr D Higgins
